Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actress, comedian and activist After moving to America, she was born in Soviet Union to Jewish parents. She began her career as an actor for children. From 2013 until 2016, she worked as the AT&T salesperson Lily Adams, and since 2020. Her fame was boosted due to her appearances in TV commercials. She was a regular host on Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Also, she was regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub is also the voice of Squirrel Girl on the Marvel Rising franchise since 2018 after being cast as the character in the unaired television pilot for New Warriors. Vayntrub was Jewish and born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and her left antisemitism at two years old. They emigrated to the U.S. with their children. Her family's financial troubles led to her acting in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, but she dropped out of the school following her sophomore year. She she was able to get a GED and then went to complete the Bachelor of Arts in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. She learned how to perform improv from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
